Twenty Years of Service Publication

Next year will mark twenty years of service for Hospice of Chesterfield County.  To commemorate this event, hospice is preparing a publication that will honor and celebrate those we’ve served through the years. Family members and friends of those served by Hospice of Chesterfield County are encouraged to share information about their loved ones and what Hospice of Chesterfield County did to help them and their loved ones.  A photo of the individual being remembered will also be needed. “We envision this project as a testimonial to the people we’ve helped and a portrait of our wonderful community,” Community Relations/Development Coordinator Cindy Beard said.  “We hope all who we have had the honor of serving will use this opportunity to...

Christmas Card Contest

Hospice of Chesterfield County recently sponsored a Christmas Card Contest with the winning cards to be reproduced as Christmas cards for Hospice of Chesterfield County and will also be available for purchase in the Hospice Sunshine Gift Shoppes. All card entries will be on display during the Chesterfield Christmas Open House. The first place winner in each age division received $50, second place received $25 and third place received $15. Christmas Card Contest

Hospice of Chesterfield County recently sponsored a Christmas Card Contest with over 800 entries. The first place winning cards will be reproduced as Christmas note cards for Hospice of Chesterfield County and will be available for purchase at the hospice office at 700 W. Blvd. in Chesterfield or at the Sunshine Shoppes at 160 Second St. in Cheraw, 122 Main St. in Chesterfield and 114 E. Ways to Help Hospice

Ways to Help Hospice Volunteers Volunteers helped establish the Hospice movement in Chesterfield County and will always provide essential skill and energy to fuel our continued growth. Hospice of Chesterfield County is dedicated to insuring that volunteers will remain at the center of Hospice care.  Hospice is fortunate to have a large number of volunteers involved in a variety of services. The patient/family volunteer becomes involved with the daily lives of the family. These volunteers may sit with a patient, teach a skill, visit often with the patient and family, run errands and offer support. Bereavement volunteers work with the surviving members of the family.
