Hospice Seeking ‘Friends’

Hospice of Chesterfield County has started a “Friends of Hospice” initiative to help raise funds to meet the growing needs for hospice care in Chesterfield and Marlboro counties. As a community-based, non-profit organization, Hospice of Chesterfield County maximizes its resources to provide the highest quality and compassionate care to our area’s terminally ill residents. In the past 10 years, Hospice of Chesterfield County’s patient care days have increased 240% from 5,428 to 18,458. This increase in the utilization of our services has also resulted in an increase in the amount of indigent care we provide. Springhill Assisted Living Reception

Hospice of Chesterfield County held a reception May 4 recognizing the agency’s recent acquisition of Springhill Assisted Living and the retirement of Springhill’s previous owners and founders Robbie and Julia Robertson. Springhill was constructed in 2000 by the Robertsons so that local senior adults could receive quality assisted living care in their community. Since that time 124 residents have called Springhill home. “Julia and I are thrilled to pass the baton to the capable, loving hands of our friends at Hospice. Recognize The Doctors You Appreciate For Doctor’s Day!

Hospice of Chesterfield County is pleased to offer a special way for you to recognize doctors for Doctor’s Day, March 30. For a donation of $5 or more, Hospice of Chesterfield County will mail a beautiful full-color card expressing your appreciation and indicating your donation in honor of a doctor (current and retired physicians, dentists, chiropractors, veterinarians etc.). As a non-profit hospice, your tax-deductible donation will help us continue to provide quality, compassionate care for area terminally ill residents regardless of their ability to pay.
