Who Pays For Hospice Care?

Hospice of Chesterfield County has been serving the needs of patients and their families since 1993. As a non-profit agency, the organization provides professional care and volunteer assistance to patients from all walks of life, regardless of their ability to pay.

Many health insurance companies offer a comprehensive Hospice care benefit plan. If the patient has Medicare or Medicaid, he or she may be eligible for the special Hospice benefit. However, care for any individual will not be denied or diminished due to an inability to pay.

Additional funding for Hospice is provided through a variety of sources including memorials, honorariums, individual gifts, endowments, bequests, and donations by churches, businesses, corporations, United Way, community organizations, and individuals. All donations to Hospice of Chesterfield County are fully tax-deductible.
